One-on-one with Paulie, by Keith

Paulie took me to one side after breakfast.
"What makes a great player, Keith?" He asked me.
"Character, Paulie." I said.
"And how do we come to know our character, Keith?"
"Through adversity, Paulie."
"Thats right Keith. And what is character, Keith?"
"It is our destiny, Paulie."
"Good, Keith. So in order to reach our destiny what do we have to do ?"
"Triumph over adversity, Paulie."
"Good lad. And who is bigger than the team?"
"No-one, Paulie."
"Thats right. So, lets see you embrace your destiny, today, Keith." He put his hand on my shoulder. "I believe in you."
" Thank you Paulie."
